Overview:**
OPPD is seeking a Senior Engineer to join its Generation Asset Management team. As a senior engineer, you will drive the safe and reliable operation of the District’s electrical generating assets, providing timely technical analyses to ensure economic and technically sound operations. **Responsibilities:**
• Provide technical expertise in one of the three functional areas: Engineering Programs, Long Term Asset Management, or Predictive Maintenance (PdM)
• Conduct complex engineering tasks and present results
• Develop and implement engineering programs to improve equipment reliability and diagnostics
• Work closely with generation facility staff, other departments, vendors, and contractors to acquire information, resolve problems, and implement solutions
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and other teams
• Stay up-to-date with industry standards, codes, and best practices
• *Qualifications:**
• 4-year BS Engineering degree (ABET-accredited degree)
• Professional Engineer (PE) certificate, NERC, or other approved job-related certification
• Five (5) years of equivalent engineering work experience
• Demonstrated capabilities in multiple aspects of equipment reliability and diagnostics (PdM Only)
• Strong communications, presentation, and negotiation skills
• Strong understanding of power plant system design, operation, maintenance, and system interactions
• Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
