We are seeking an experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Operator to join this dedicated team.

Position Summary: We are looking for a skilled Ammonia Refrigeration Operator with over 5 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration systems. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, hold relevant certifications, and possess an Associate’s degree in Refrigeration/HVAC. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and safe operation of the refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and repair ammonia refrigeration systems, including compressors, condensers, evaporators, pumps, and valves.
• Monitor system performance, identify potential issues, and perform necessary adjustments to maintain optimal operation.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on refrigeration equipment to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Respond promptly to system alarms and malfunctions, troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
• Maintain accurate records of system performance, maintenance activities, and repairs.
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
• Collaborate with the maintenance team to develop and implement best practices for refrigeration system operation and maintenance.
• Participate in safety training programs and adhere to safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration systems.
• RETA CARO and/or CIRO certification is highly preferred.
• Associate’s degree in Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, controls, and safety protocols.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex refrigeration systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work in a cold storage environment and respond to emergencies outside of regular working hours when necessary.
