Job Description:

Bar-S Foods, a leader in the food processing industry, is seeking a skilled and experienced Ammonia Refrigeration Operator to join our team in Clinton, Oklahoma. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration systems. This role is critical to maintaining the operational efficiency and safety of our refrigeration systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot ammonia refrigeration systems to ensure optimal performance and safety.
• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on all refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Monitor system performance and adjust settings as necessary to maintain desired temperature levels.
• Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
• Identify and repair or replace faulty components and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair activities.
• Respond to emergency situations and alarms promptly and effectively.
• Collaborate with other maintenance and operations personnel to ensure seamless plant operations.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in ammonia refrigeration system operation and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of ammonia refrigeration principles and practices.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to ammonia refrigeration systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Certification in ammonia refrigeration or related field.
• Experience in a food processing environment.
• Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, including cold storage environments.
• Ability to stand, walk, and climb ladders and stairs for extended periods.
